A. H. S. Chevrons
Indulge yourself in a wee bit of nostalgia by viewing old A.H.S. Chevrons. Use Chevron Senior Photos to expeditiously find photos of seniors as far back as 1927. (Earlier years show only group or informal photos.) Note that, for various reasons, the students with senior photos are not identical with those on the official list of Albion Union Free School Graduating Classes. Note also that before 1933, Chevrons were published twice each year. Here, select pages from both issues are consolidated into the graduating year.
Missing Chevrons (#) submitted by alumni will be posted promptly and returned in an undamaged condition. Send more! Also, some pages in various Chevrons shown below are poor quality and need replacing. Let me know which year you have; I might be able to use it.
The public Albion Union Free School superseded the private Albion Academy and private Phipps Academy. Its first graduating class was in 1879. The Albion Union Free School became Albion Central High School in 1953. A list of all graduates from 1879 through 1952 is provided at Albion Union Free School Graduating Classes. Some existing group photos of early senior classes are shown at Early Graduating Class Photos. If you positively know the names of individuals in any of these photos, then please inform me of them. If you know where I can obtain other early class photos, then please inform me of those too.
Many thanks to Swan Library staff, AHS library staff, and alumni for use of their Chevrons.
